Homework takes away free time. It's supposed to reinforce what we've learned, but it doesn't. We waste time in class going over the homework, when we should just be going over the lesson. If there was no homework, there would be more time to learn what we need to know for quizzes and tests. Students sometimes forget to do their homework, which is detrimental to the grade they recieve in that class.
Teachers have to grade all of the homework. The leisure time that would come from ridding our schools of homework would not be just for the students. Students have jobs to work at, friends to hang out with, and significant others to date (if they're lucky). Only good would come from getting rid of homework.
