Pro-Reservation

We welcome the proposal put forward by Mr. Arjun Singh, Union Human Resource Development Minister to introduce 27\% reservation for the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in central universities and central government funded higher education institution like IITs, IIMs except minority institutes.

It is a right step forward to uplift socially and economically backward sections of our country. We praise the initiative taken by Mr.Arjun Singh as this proposal is a big relief to those who suffered from inequalities in Indian society from many years.

We express our deep concern over high drop out rate in socially and economically backward communities and urge to the government to make sure availability of quality education to all students irrespective of their social and economical conditions and to make sure that no one should remain illiterate due to poor financial conditions. We demand from the government In case of seats remain vacant in reserved category, admission should be allowed for general category students in those vacant seats.

To eradicate inequalities from Indian society and to bring fruits of prosperity implementation of reservation policy should be made more transparent and free from irregularities
