By signing this petition, I am requesting that the U.S. Congress put into action a plan that will help the obesity epedimic that is effecting our children. Over 9 million children are overweight or obese and this is inherent in the American school systems. If we remove sodas and unhealthy foods from school vending machines we have a chance of saving our future generations from this epidemic. The average teenager drinks 2 sodas a day resulting in an extra 2100 calories a day, and the schools are providing these sodas for our children. Please sign this petition and your children and grandchildren may have a chance of having a healthier and longer life.
