Adobe Software Pricing Anomaly

We believe that the pricing structure adopted by Adobe in Europe and in particular the United Kingdom is unfair. Prices are much higher than those charged in the United States. For example, CS3 Design Premium is US$1799.95 which is roughly 915. The UK price for this product, however is 1409 + Vat (1655.58). Even removing government or state imposed taxes, the product costs 500 (nearly US$1,000) more in the UK than in the US.

Another example is the stand alone package Dreamweaver CS3. This costs $399.95 (204) in the United States and 394 in the UK. NEARLY DOUBLE THE PRICE FOR EXACTLY THE SAME PRODUCT!

There is no realistic reason why the cost of the software should be so significantly different from country to country. Especially considering download as an option for purchasing, there are no overheads that can possibly be used as an excuse for this over pricing.

We urge Adobe to reconsider this and adopt a fair pricing model for all their customers where-ever they live.
